Astronomy autographs collected by Samuel A. Mitchell, 1924, 1928, 1954, n.d.

The collection contains a brief note from J.C. Adams, discoverer of Neptune, to a Captain Gibson, n.d. Indian scientist Meghnad Saha thanks Mitchell for a book, 1924 August 26. Dutch amateur astronomer G. Van Den Bergh inquires about the limits of an eclipse and errors he may have detected in the works of Mitchell and E. and B. Strömgren. Fragments of an untitled speech, 1928, possibly by Mitchell, appear to discuss astronomical knowledge and the creation story, which he does not find denied by modern science.
